From January 29 through February 3, 2024, International Institute of Los Angeles joins Metro Los Angeles in honoring Rosa Parks and supporting equal access to public transportation leading up to Transit Equity Day (February 4). Since 2017, Transit Equity Day has officially recognized the role of Rosa Parks in the Montgomery Bus Boycott and civil rights movement on the anniversary of her birth and the start of Black History Month.

IILA’s Metro LIFE team will participate in special enrollment events throughout the week to help eligible Angelenos access 20 free regional rides each month or discounts on select passes, as well as a free 90-day pass for new LIFE enrollees.
