Case Aide

IILA’s Local Integration & Family Empowerment (LIFE) Division provides a wide array of services to diverse populations including families who have been victims of trafficking, newly arrived immigrants, unaccompanied minors and families who have been forced to migrate due to violence and/or other traumatic situations. LIFE services include comprehensive case management services, client support groups, job training, job placement, transportation subsidies, and community outreach and education. LIFE Division is projected to serve about 30,000 individuals each year.

Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Case Aide will provide support to the case management team.

System Navigator

LIFE services include comprehensive case management services, client support groups, job training, job placement, transportation subsidies, and community outreach and education. LIFE Division is projected to serve about 30,000 individuals each year. The LIFE Division is calling for a System Navigator to provide social services to vulnerable individuals.

Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the System Navigator will be responsible for assisting Afghan arrivals (Humanitarian Parolees, SIV’s, SI/SQ) residing various counties (including Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, Ventura, and Kern) understand and access health coverage benefits and support non-clinical services for Afghans.

Afghan Legal Representation Project - Immigration Caseworker

The ALRP Immigration Caseworker will provide immigration support services for Afghan clients in a high-volume setting, which includes asylum, TPS, completion of SIV cases, adjustments of status, special immigrant juvenile status, and other related services. Responsibilities include performing initial intakes for Afghan clients, assisting clients meet documentary requirements related to various immigration procedures, especially asylum applications, and maintaining accurate records.

The ALRP Immigration Attorneys will provide immigration legal representation for Afghan clients in a high-volume setting, which includes asylum, TPS, completion of SIV cases, adjustments of status, special immigrant juvenile status, and other related services. Responsibilities include preparing asylum applications and appearing at asylum hearings at the USCIS Asylum Office in Tustin, CA, as well as representing clients for all available remedies before USCIS and/or the immigration court and coordinating with staff and pro bono attorneys. The ALRP Immigration Attorneys may also supervise paralegals and clerical staff.

Prep Aid/Backup Driver

Under the direct supervision of the Kitchen Supervisor, the Preparation Aide/ Backup Driver will assist in the cleaning and sanitation of the kitchen. The Preparation Aide/ Backup Driver will help with the preparation of foods including cutting, chopping, washing, buttering and making sandwiches; gathers food items for distribution to individual child care centers and sorts by site, counts and packages for item.  Fill in on delivery route as needed. The Preparation Aide/ Backup Driver will follow food preparation and kitchen health and safety standards.

The LA METRO Low-Income Fare is Easy (LIFE) Program provides transportation assistance to low-income individuals in Los Angeles County. The program offers fare subsidies that may be applied toward the purchase of Metro or any LIFE-participating operator pass or free regional ride options. This position plays a pivotal role providing exceptional community engagement outreach activities.

The ideal candidate has experience in working with diverse people and working within a team environment.  We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with the public, is effective at establishing partnerships, and is ready to adapt to new responsibilities quickly with a can-do, jump-right-in attitude.
