Last month on AirTalk, we spoke with refugee resettlement agencies about what their efforts with Afghan refugees have looked like.
The providers described uncertainty over housing, the number of refugees they would be charged with aiding and more.
Today on AirTalk, we’re checking in on what those refugee resettlement efforts have looked like with Lilian Alba, vice president of immigrant and refugee services at International Institute of Los Angeles, José Serrano, director of Outreach and Immigration at World Relief Southern California, a Christian organization that help immigrants and refugees transition to life in the United States and Miry Whitehill, founder and executive director of Miry’s List, a non-profit that helps refugee families through fundraisers, crowdsourcing and social media.
