Information and Eligibility

ERA Subsidy Program will provide a temporary rent subsidy for eligible residential tenants in the City of Los Angeles who are unable to pay rent due to circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The subsidy will provide a grant of up to $1,000 per month to cover the monthly lease rent (based on the rent paid as of March 1, 2020), with a maximum of $2,000 per household. The rent subsidy will be paid directly to the tenant’s landlord on the tenant’s behalf. This program will be available to renters of multifamily rental housing who meet the following eligibility criteria:

  1. Residents of the City of Los Angeles, regardless of immigration status;
  2. Households that can provide proof of tenancy;
  3. Household annual income at or below 80% of Area Median Income (AMI) level prior to the COVID-19 crisis; and

Información y elegibilidad

El Programa de Subsidio de Asistencia para Inquilinos de Emergencia de la Ciudad de Los Ángeles proporcionará un subsidio de alquiler temporal para inquilinos residenciales elegibles en la Ciudad de Los Ángeles que no pueden pagar el alquiler debido a circunstancias relacionadas con la pandemia COVID-19. El subsidio proporcionará una subvención de hasta $ 1,000 por mes para cubrir el alquiler mensual del arrendamiento (basado en el alquiler pagado a partir del 1 de marzo de 2020), con un máximo de $ 2,000 por hogar. El subsidio de alquiler se pagará directamente al arrendador del inquilino en nombre del inquilino. Este programa estará disponible para inquilinos de viviendas de alquiler multifamiliares que cumplan con los siguientes criterios de elegibilidad:

Glendale

The program will offer up to $1,500 maximum assistance to low-income renter residents of Glendale who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. There will be two rounds of funding that will support in total 380 household

The Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP-C19) provides residential rent payments to landlords on behalf of a low income eligible household, up to $750 per month, for two months ($1,500 maximum assistance).

  1. Must be a resident of the City of Glendale.
  2. Must be renting a legal rental unit (or room sublease) and contain a current lease or sublease agreement. Additional information such as utility billings and certain mail service will also be required to establish a household as being a renter household occupying a unit.
    3. Must qualify as a Low-Income Household (80% and below Area Median Income). Total household income cannot exceed the maximums below, per household size in the unit, as established by HUD. Each applicant will be required to submit source documentation demonstrating their income eligibility.
