The mission of the International Institute of Los Angeles is to provide comprehensive social services to assist individuals and families to achieve self-sufficiency.
The Institute also provides community leadership with the goal of promoting
multicultural understanding.
The International Institute of Los Angeles (IILA) has been a member of the USCRI network since the Institute’s foundation in 1914. In 1974 IILA began resettling Vietnamese refugees, and has resettled thousands of other refugees in California since that time. In 2004 the Institute opened sub-offices in Central California (Fresno and Merced) to help resettle Hmong refugees
