Child Development
The Child Development Division prepares children for success by providing high quality childcare. Over 550 children are enrolled in seven International Institute of Los Angeles childcare centers that provide the California State preschool program and center-based childcare. These centers provide enriching environments where children are encouraged to explore and learn using the High Scope curriculum. Another 300 children are enrolled in 70 International Institute of Los Angeles licensed family child care homes.
The Child Development Division also provides parent education workshops, social services, medical referrals and nutrition for families and children enrolled in the program.
