Make a senior happy this Christmas

An IILA appeal for Christmas baskets for our seniors (with apologies to Charles Dickens)

A few of us are endeavoring to raise a fund to buy our homebound seniors some meat and drink and means of warmth. We choose this time, because it is a time of all others when want is keenly felt, and abundance rejoices. What should I put you down for?

With your generous holiday help we can fill all the baskets to overflowing. We’ll buy apples, oranges, hot cocoa mix, muffins evaporated milk, mittens, scarves, tinned meat, spaghetti noodles, chicken broth – everything to make the best holiday ever for our seniors.

Getting this basket is the highlight of the Season for many of our seniors living in East-side Los Angeles City. We want to deliver 250 Holiday baskets during the month of December.

Help us fill the baskets. Each basket costs $35 dollars to fill. Buy two or three or as many as you want. Please fill out and print the short form at the link below so that we can let the senior who gets your basket know who you are (we will include your first name only.)
